Chamber Choir to present Christmas music on Dec. 16
The Chamber Choir at UVa-Wise will present a program of Christmas music on Sunday, Dec. 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of All Faiths on the UVa-Wise campus. The program is free and open to the public.
The Chamber Choir is a voluntary, non-auditioned choral group comprised of UVa-Wise faculty and staff as well as individuals from the communities of southwest Virginia and eastern Kentucky. Membership in the choir is open to singers who enjoy learning and performing outstanding choral music.
For the concert on Dec. 16, the Chamber Choir, under the direction of D. Michael Donathan, Professor Emeritus of Music and accompanied by Kathy Thacker Stewart, will perform choral works by John Rutter, Irving Berlin, Norman Luboff and others. The Select Quartet and The Women’s Ensemble and Trio will perform as well. Concluding the concert will be a Carol Sing of traditional Christmas carols with audience participation.
