The conference, slated for April 10 and May 1, is provided as a community service for pre-kindergarten through third-grade teachers. It is limited to the first 200 teachers who register. Online registration is available here.
Feldman, an author and musician known as “Dr. Jean,” will do two presentations at the April 10 session, set for 9 a.m. at the Fred B. Greear Gymnasium. Her first presentation is titled “Kids Just Wanna Have Fun, Teachers Do, Too!” and her second presentation is entitled “Transition Tips.”
Registration for the April 10 conference begins at 8:30 a.m. Morning refreshments will be served.
An author and child psychologist, Elkind is the featured speaker for the May 1 conference, which takes place on the fifth floor of the C. Bascom Slemp Student Center at 9 a.m. Elkind will discuss his latest book, “The Power of Play.” Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
