UVa-Wise Theater to present ‘Dracula’ this month

The University of Virginia’s College at Wise Theater will stage “Dracula” beginning at 8 p.m. on Nov. 5 in the Gilliam Center for the Arts.

In “Dracula,” Lucy Seward, daughter of a physician in charge of a sanatorium near London, is mysteriously anemic. Dr. Van Helsing, a specialist in obscure diseases, suspects a vampire.

The play will also be presented on Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. and on Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. Additional performances are set for Nov. 11-13 at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $5 and are available at the door. Performances are free to UVa-Wise students, faculty and staff. Reservations are not required or taken.
