The C. Bascom Slemp Foundation funds the undergraduate research. The funds are specifically provided for undergraduate research that falls outside the natural sciences.

The University of Virginia’s College at Wise has announced its spring 2014 Dean’s List.
The 343 students named to the Dean’s List earned a grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 scale with no grades below a “C” and were enrolled in at least 12 credit hours.
Jessica Necessary, administrative assistant for the Visual and Performing Arts department, is among the 2014 Leonard W. Sandridge Outstanding Contribution Award recipients. This program gives members of the University and College at Wise community the opportunity to honor employees who have shown exemplary service and commitment to the University. It is the highest honor for staff at the University and College at Wise.
