Kentucky and Tennessee Transfer Students
Kentucky and Tennessee Transfer Students
Transfer Students from Kentucky and Tennessee Community Colleges
Transfer applicants from a Kentucky and Tennessee Community College will have their work at the community college evaluated on a course-by-course basis. Those students who have earned an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or Associate of Arts and Sciences degree based on a baccalaureate-oriented sequence of courses are given preference in the admissions process. Admission to the College does not necessarily guarantee admission to any of the various majors or programs within the College (i.e. teacher education and nursing).
Students who have earned an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or Associate of Arts and Sciences degree based on a baccalaureate-oriented sequence of courses from a Kentucky or Tennessee Community College and are participants in the Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP) will be classified as juniors, have their application fee waived and will be given preference in the admissions process.
Transfer students from a Kentucky and Tennessee Community College who have completed at least 30 hours of transferrable, academic coursework will be admitted based upon the transfer work alone without consideration of high school work or standardized test scores. Preference will be given to students who have completed six hours of English composition and six hours of mathematics.
