Mullins leads Alumni Association

Rick L. Mullins'91 serves as President of the UVa-Wise Alumni Association for the 2011 - 2012 term.  Rick is a 1991 graduate of the University of Virginia’s College at Wise formerly known as Clinch Valley College.  He earned his degree in Chemistry with a minor in Economics. While at Clinch Valley, Rick worked as a student worker in the campus bookstore, library and for campus police. He also served as an RA in McCrary Hall and is a member of the Phi Sig fraternity. 

After graduating, Rick attended pharmacy school at Campbell University in North Carolina, where he earned a doctorate degree in pharmacy in 1998.  While attending Campell University he worked at Fort Bragg Veteran's Hospital Pharmacy, the Dean's Office and served as a member of Kappa Psi.

His pharmacy work experience includes Director of Pharmacy at Norton Community Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, Rite Aide, Food City, K-Mart and Wal-Mart. In July of 2004, he opened his own pharmacy in downtown Wise called Cavalier Pharmacy.

Rick and his wife, Jillian, make their home in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, with their two sons Nate (5) and Ben(3).
