Welcome Alumni and Friends!

The University of Virginia's College at Wise Alumni Association is a private foundation whose purpose is to "aid, strengthen, and expand the work and development of The University of Virginia's College at Wise, through the involvement of alumni." This is accomplished through a variety of activities, such as:

• Developing a strong base of support through record keeping, club support, event planning, and gathering information for publication in the UVa-Wise Magazine.
• Fundraising through the Cavalier Alumni $elebration, annual alumni phonathon, and other special events.
• Developing future alumni giving through extensive work with the student body.
• Assisting with the recruitment of students by sharing the story of our founding.
• The Alumni Association was established in 1969 by a handful of Clinch Valley College graduates. Today, the Alumni Association has over 8,000 members and a very active Board of Directors. The forty member Alumni Board meets 8 times a year at Alumni Hall, planning activities, events, reunions and Homecoming for our current studnets and alumni.

• If you are interested in becoming more involved in your alma mater. Please let us know. We are always in need of assistance on the many activities and committees supported by the Alumni Board of Directors.
