UVa-Wise Bookstore, located on the first floor of the
Slemp Student Center, supports the College's educational
mission. Whether you are looking for academic/personal
supplies or merchandise bearing the UVa-Wise insignia,
the Bookstore can meet your needs. A variety of other
services are also available including special occasion
campus deliveries, Balfour class rings, and Commencement
items. The Bookstore also stocks a variety of special

How much will I get for my books at Buyback?
There are several factors that go into that decision. Nebraska Book Company buys textbooks back at the conclusion of each semester. When we know a book is going to be used again, we will have Nebraska purchase a set number of those books for us to use the following semester. We typically buy the books back at a higher price than what Nebraska would offer if they were buying for themselves. This benefits the Bookstore in getting a used copy of the textbook for resale and the student by getting a greater return on their investment.
When we have not received an order for a class, we cannot purchase the book back ourselves. However, the student may still have the option of selling the book to Nebraska. Nebraska bases its price on several factors. Such as, where is the book at in its lifecycle? Is a new edition coming out soon? Is there a demand for this book on other campuses? These are some of the questions that determine that decision.
Below is a link to the textbooks that the Bookstore is purchasing back for itself. To the far right, you will see a heading that states Buy Quantity. This is the number of each textbook that the Bookstore is purchasing back through Nebraska. Once that quantity is reached, you will only receive the price that Nebraska offers. Good luck on exams!
Summer hours of Operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday though Friday, unless otherwise noted.
The next Textbook Buy-Back of the Semester will be conducted by Nebraska Book Company on May 4th-8th. The representative will be here from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.
