The Arts

Our strengths as an educational institution give us both the opportunity and the obligation to improve the cultural life of our students and the citizens of our region. The College’s visual and performing arts department continues to grow and expand despite limited rehearsal, production, and performance space.

Our current theatre seats only 150 and lacks adequate backstage facilities. A modern facility will support the best work of our drama, music, and art students— and bring richer cultural experiences to our students and our community.

The Center for the Arts will bring the Department of Visual and Performing Arts together under one roof for the first time in the College’s history. Student artists of all varieties will blossom as the Center’s dynamic, multifaceted programming—in drama, art, and music—unleashes its creative energy.
