Alumni and friends invited to tour Ireland with UVa-Wise
The Alumni Association of The University of Virginia’s College at Wise invites alumni and friends to experience dance and folklore in Ireland while touring with Chancellor Emeritus “Papa Joe” Smiddy. The trip is scheduled for July 16-23.
The tour will begin in Shannon, Ireland, where the group will tour the Bunratty Folk Park and enjoy a traditional Irish meal and entertainment at the Corn Barn. Other locations will include the Cliffs of Moher, the Muckross House and Kenmare. Travelers will have a chance to kiss the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle before setting off to enjoy a production at the Abbey Theatre.
Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Debbie Mullins of AAA Travel in Norton will reserve all land and air travel.
