Information session for Spain trip set for Aug. 28 at UVa-Wise

Those interested in participating in a tour of Spain from March 6-13 are invited to attend an information session on Aug. 28 at The University of Virginia’s College at Wise at 1 p.m. in Smiddy Hall, Room 100A.

The “Southern Spain Adventure” includes overnight stays in Seville, birthplace to Velaquez, and Granada, situated between the foothills of Sierra Nevada and the Mediterranean coast. A sightseeing tour of Cordoba is also featured on the tour.

Amelia Harris, academic dean and associate professor of modern languages at UVa-Wise, designed the tour in conjunction with EF Customized Tours. Harris has designed and directed 10 European educational tours and has been involved in the planning and direction of five study tours outside of Europe for UVa-Wise students.

The price for the tour, which includes airfare, hotel accommodations and some meals, will vary depending on the number of people participating. The deadline for application for the tour is Sept. 21.
