Community singers, musicians invited to join UVa-Wise groups
The University of Virginia’s College at Wise Division of Music is looking for a few good players and a few good singers! Both the UVa-Wise Concert Band and UVa-Wise Chamber Choir are organizations open to, and predominately comprised of, community members.
The Concert Band rehearses Monday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Chamber Choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Both ensembles rehearse in Music Center II, located near McCraray Hall.
Community members do not need to register or pay any fees to participate in either organization. Traditionally these ensembles perform one or two concerts each semester’s end and are featured in the Division of Music’s annual Prism Concert.
