EXECUTIVE SEARCH TEAM

Chancellor
The University of Virginia's College at Wise

Nancy A. Martin, Senior Vice President and Co-Director of EMN/Witt/Kieffer, founded Educational Management Network in 1985. Now with more than twenty-five years of executive search experience, she has led over 400 executive level searches. Ms. Martin's prior professional experience at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. and with the Academy for Educational Development involved presidential and senior executive searches in the educational, not-for-profit, and health care sectors. Her activities have demonstrated a broad and enduring interest in education and related endeavors. She has completed a term as an elected member of the Nantucket School Committee and has been a member of the Commission on Higher Education and of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, serving on its executive committee. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and received her master's degree from New York University's School of Education. Ms. Martin has been recognized among the top 250 recruiters by John Sibbald's The New Career Makers and as one of the top four search consultants within the higher education community. Lucy A. Leske, Consultant, joined EMN/Witt/Kieffer in 1991. She has led a broad range of searches, including presidential, vice presidential, decanal, and provostial searches, during her tenure with the company, and her areas of expertise include academic affairs, student affairs, development, and enrollment. She has published national articles and presented at professional conferences on topics such as recruiting and retaining staff. A member of CASE, NSFRE, and Women in Development of Greater Boston, she has cultivated a wide network of contacts, clients, and placements to assist in identifying new leadership in a variety of fields. Her volunteer activities focus on education, conservation, and horticulture, and she recently served on the Nantucket Conservation Commission. A graduate of Mount Holyoke College, she has also earned a Certificate of Completion in Ecology from the Woods Hole Marine Biological Laboratory. She may be reached at the Nantucket office.
