UVa-Wise to host College Night Sept. 12

Representatives from more than 40 colleges and universities will participate in the College Night set for Monday, Sept. 12, at The University of Virginia’s College at Wise.

High school students and their families are invited to the event, which will be held from 7:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on the fifth floor of the C. Bascom Slemp Student Center. College Night is sanctioned by the Virginia Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.

Primarily intended for students from Wise and Scott counties and the City of Norton, the event is open to any student interested in more information about the participating schools.

Colleges and universities which plan to participate include: Berea College, Bluefield College, Bridgewater College, Carson-Newman College, Christopher Newport University, College of William and Mary, Concord University, East Tennessee State University, Eastern Mennonite University, ECPI Technical College, Emory and Henry College, Ferrum College, Gardner-Webb University, George Mason University, Hampden Sydney College, Hollins University, James Madison University, Lees-McRae College, Liberty University, Lincoln Memorial University, Longwood University, Mary Baldwin College, Milligan College, Mountain Empire Community College, Mountain State University, Old Dominion University, Peace College, Radford University, Regent University, Sweet Briar College, Tusculum College, University of Mary Washington, University of Virginia, The University of Virginia’s College at Wise, Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia Intermont College, Virginia Military Institute, Virginia Tech, Virginia Wesleyan College, West Virginia University Institute of Technology, and Western Carolina University.
