Summer College 2008 open to students at UVa-Wise and other institutions

The University of Virginia’s College at Wise invites students throughout the region to enroll in Summer College 2008. Registration begins May 1, 2008, but those interested may explore Summer College’s options and benefits now at www.uvawise.edu/summer.
Summer College is open to currently enrolled students at UVa-Wise and to students at schools, colleges and universities throughout Virginia and beyond. Whether returning home for the summer or willing to try out one of the top public liberal arts colleges in the nation, students from any institution can reap the benefits of a UVa-Wise education during Summer College 2008.
Students also can fulfill general education or other degree requirements during Summer College while enjoying the College’s small class sizes. Summer classes may have as few as seven students, giving students the opportunity to work closely with instructors.
The current roster of courses available for Summer College 2008 includes courses in music, biology, computer science, history and business, among 15 other areas.
Summer College Session I begins May 27, 2008, and will conclude June 30, 2008. Summer College Session II begins July 7, 2008, and concludes Aug. 8, 2008. Open registration for Summer College 2008 will begin May 1, 2008.
Students who are not currently enrolled at UVa-Wise may apply for admission to Summer College by applying online at www.uvawise.edu/summer. Applicants are reminded to choose the “non-degree seeking student” option when applying.
