The  purpose of The University of Virginia's College at Wise Board is to promote the sound development of the institution in accordance with policy, as set by the University's President and/or Rector and Visitors. The University of Virginia's College at Wise Board also serves in an advisory capacity to the Chancellor of the College, the President of the University, and the Board of Visitors on matters pertaining to The University of Virginia's College at Wise.
