Site of the former Wise County poor farm and the College's first building when it opened in 1954, Crockett Hall is an essential part of UVa-Wise history. Named for Sam Crockett, a U.Va. extension agent who played a key role in the founding of the College, Crockett Hall was last used as a residence hall several years ago.

Now, this major project has provided a historical renovation to the exterior of the building and rebuilt the interior while utilizing many of the components of the original. Crockett Hall now houses Admissions, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, the Registrar’s Office and the Cashier ’s Office.
