For more than a quarter of a century, the Education department at The University of Virginia's College at Wise has prepared hundreds of pre-service teachers to enter and work successfully in the teaching profession. The current full-time and part-time faculty of the Education department of the College carries on that tradition by challenging and encouraging our future teachers to meet the needs of our children as they face an ever-increasingly complex world. The education professors bring a diverse wealth of knowledge, scholarship, and experience to their teaching and advising; they are committed to the success of every student who has accepted the rewarding challenge of becoming a teacher.
