Ways to Give to UVa-Wise

There are many ways to support The University of Virginia's College at Wise.  Most donors make gifts and pledge payments by check, credit card, or for College employees, via payroll deduction.  Also, please remember that we encourage giving through the alumni phonathon.  The phonathon is a great opportunity to speak with current students, stay updated with campus events and give back at the same time!

Others take advantage of tax savings that come from giving appreciated stocks, shares of mutual funds, or real estate.  A growing number of alumni and friends incorporate gifts into their financial and estate planning.               

OVERVIEW:  Ways to make a gift to UVa-Wise are by Check, Credit Card, Online, Payroll Deduction (UVa-Wise employees only), stocks, mutual funds & real estate.  Also, many companies have a matching gifts program to help double your money!

MATCHING GIFTS:  Almost 1000 corporations match gifts made by employees, board members, retired employees and spouses to their institituion of choice.  Matching gifts enable you to double or even triple your gift to UVa-Wise. Alumni and friends receive full credit and recognition for personal gifts as well as corporate matches.

Participation is simple! Just search the Company Matching Gifts Clearinghouse to find out if your company matches gifts and to obtain contact information for the program manager.  Please obtain a matching gift form, complete the form, submit it to your employer and watch your gift grow!
