is Alumni Participation in the Annual Fund so important?
Alumni
participation is essential to the future success of UVa-Wise.
Alumni support is one of the important factors used by US
News & World Report when ranking universities (currently
UVa-Wise is ranked 8th). Therefore, an increase in
alumni giving increases UVa-Wise's rank and this, in turn,
increases the value of your degree! Also, corporations
and foundations look at alumni giving to determine which
universities they will support. Your gift, no matter the
size, demonstrates a strong commitment to the College.
