Assistant Director for Administrative Systems
The University of Virginia's College at Wise invites applications for an Assistant Director of Administrative Systems. This position will report to the Director of Administrative Systems and will provide support for the College's various administrative systems. Primary responsibilities will include working with customers to develop and maintain: Custom reports, SQL stored procedures, advanced SQL queries, data exports to feed various systems, personalized training and how-to documents for the Jenzabar ERP system and enhancements to the Jenzabar student portal.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related computer systems information field is required. Additional requirements include knowledge of Transact-SQL, an understanding of database management concepts, a working knowledge of integrated database systems, excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to work well with a variety of users of different skill levels in sometimes stressful situations.

Vice Chancellor for Development & College Relations
The University of Virginia's College at Wise is a public, liberal arts college and the only branch of the University of Virginia. The College currently enrolls 2000 undergraduate students and is located in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of Southwest Virginia. The Vice Chancellor for Development and College Relations reports directly to the Chancellor. The College has maintained an average annual giving level of over four million dollars over the past five years. The Vice Chancellor will oversee all external relations at the College, including fund raising (annual gifts, planned gifts, corporate and foundation gifts), alumni relations, public relations, and all campaign and development activities.
Master's degree required; however, a Bachelor's degree and significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Master's degree.
A distinguished record of accomplishment in fundraising and institutional development, including experience with a capital campaign preferred; a commitment to the mission of a liberal arts college and the ability to work with a variety of internal and external constituencies desired; experience in effectively recruiting and motivating volunteers preferred; strong managerial, interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a record of progressive leadership and achievement in fund raising commensurate with appointment as Vice Chancellor desired; ability to work in a small town in a rural environment preferred; a strong commitment to diverfsity and student success required; a high level of personal integrity and a good sense of humor are necessary.
