The Office of Information Technology has equipment available for checkout by faculty, and staff. This equipment includes a limited number of laptop computers. If you need to checkout equipment, contact the Helpdesk for further information on what is available.
You are responsible for all equipment checked out including the manual, cables, software, and any other accessories. Do not lend or pass out this equipment to others! You are responsible for all equipment signed out in your name.
Loss or damage to the equipment due to negligence is the financial responsibility of the person who checks out the equipment. If the equipment is stolen, contact the police immediately and contact the Office of Information Technology at your earliest convenience.
In general, equipment may be checked out for one week. Due to the limited availability of certain equipment, the checkout time may be shortened. OIT personnel will determine the loan period at time of checkout.
If a longer time period is needed for academic purposes, please submit a request and written approval from your professor at least 2 weeks in advance to properly schedule the equipment. Please do not keep the equipment beyond the allowable checkout time. Equipment may be renewed one time without having to check it back in first, provided it has not been reserved by another individual.
If you do not have previous experience with the equipment, you may want to receive training before you check it out. Training may be done either by group for classes with specific assignment needs or individually by appointment. Please schedule time in advance so that you will be able to check out the equipment when you need it.
