The UVa-Wise Center for Applied Technology
The organizational mission of the Center for Applied Technology (CAT) at The University of Virginia's College at Wise is to aid our campus faculty, staff and students as well as regional business and educational organizations in the awareness and use of new technologies for effective business operations, research and organizational development.
The mission of the new Center for Applied Technology at UVa-Wise to conduct research on and offer hands-on demonstrations of specific new technologies that can help businesses and educators become more effective in their work and communications.
The new Center will begin operation in Winter, 2011 and will offer workshop demonstration sessions and will now manage the UVa-Wise Annual Technology Symposium.

The Center for Applied Technology at UVa-Wise has an advisory board that helps to develop ideas and plan the activities of the new service. The CAT Advisory Board is made up of UVa-Wise faculty and administrators, UVa-Wise students and regional business leaders.
