The University of Virginia's College at Wise Office of Information Technology provides students access to several computer labs across campus. We equip these labs with the software and hardware students need to complete assignments and projects as well as surf the internet and chat with friends. Computer Lab Reservations
Instructors and other staff members can reserve OIT ran computer labs for events and other functions. Educational themed events get priority over generic events. If you are interested in reserving a computer lab, please contact the Helpdesk for further information.

| Summary |
Supports computer science coursework in a multi-platform, TCP/IP network environment. Thirty-seven computers support programming languages such as Visual Basic, Visual C++ and Ada. The PCs give access to two Linux servers that provide various other programming languages including C, Pascal, and LiSP. Microsoft Office 2003 Professional, Mathematica, Minitab and the Internet may be accessed using the PCs. A scanner, CD burner and LaserJet printers are available for student use. Limited dial-in access is available for off-campus access to the Linux machines for computer science students. |

Supports student development of graphic, audio, video, and web projects for all majors but especially education and visual arts. PC applications include Microsoft Office 2007 Professional, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Internet. The iMacs applications include Microsoft Office 2004 Professional, iMovie and Internet. A multimedia center which includes a computer, VCR, DVD player, projector and other equipment. The lab houses 24 PC computers, 6 iMacs, 6 scanners and 2 high-end graphic workstations. |
