ONLINE LEARNING SYSTEMS
The University of Virginia's College at Wise currently uses two systems for online learning management. These systems are Moodle LMS (Learning Management System) and Blackboard LMS. At the end of the 2010-2011 academic year, UVa-Wise will be standardizing to Moodle LMS and no longer using Blackboard.
These systems help UVa-Wise faculty members communicate and collaborate with students by posting documentation, online exercises, quizes, tests and online chat/ web conference discussions. While not for everyone, online learning can be a highly effective and flexible learning method. The interfaces are easy-to-use and intuitive for most people.
For more information on online learning and what these interfaces look like, click here or click the "About Online Learning" link in the left menu.
Enrolled students and active faculty can login to one of our learning management software suites by clicking one of the graphics below or clicking the links in the left column menu.
