Student Support Services

Student Support Services helps students on the path toward graduation by providing academic support services that introduce them to the "college experience" and assist them in reaching their academic goals.


Eligible students are enrolled at The University of Virginia's College at Wise and meet one or more of the following criteria:

• First generation college student
  (neither parent has a bachelor's degree)
  
  
• Limited- or low income
  
  
• Physical or learning disability

Student Support Services (SSS) is funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Since its inception at the College in 1973, SSS has provided free assistance to thousands of eligible students.
