STUDENT LEADERSHIP AWARDS PACKET  [2012-2013 packet]

The Student Leadership Awards (SLA) Packet is used for consideration and selection of organizational awards that are presented during the annual Student Leadership Awards Banquet held each spring.  The SLA Packet compiles organizational involvements and activities information occurring from April 2012-April 2013 (Note: This allows for consideration of any late spring/summer events held prior to the start of the current academic year). Additionally, consideration for a select number of awards requires a separate application to also be submitted with the SLA Packet (see Awards link at left).

All UVa-Wise student & Greek organizations are asked to submit SLA packets.  For those organizations that do not host community service projects, participate in social programs or have defined educational programs (i.e. student publications, honor societies, etc.), your group will still be considered for organizational awards by completing the Certificate of Information and accompanying it with a letter explaining the awards for which you feel your organization qualifies and why.

The SLA Programming Initiatives Form on page 7 of the SLA packet provides a convenient, organized manner in which to compile organizational community service, educational, social and other events and activities for awards consideration.  Make additional copies as needed.

Only the information submitted in the SLA Packet, letters of support for smaller organizations, and those applications/forms required for specific awards (see Awards link at left) will be used in consideration of leadership recognitions and awards to be presented at the annual Student Leadership Awards Banquet in spring 2013. 

Completed 2012-2013 SLA Packets must be returned by noon on Monday, April 1, to Josh Justice, 3^rd floor of the Slemp Student Center.
